rhinos umfoloziPlease sign our petition and say NO to the Fuleni Anthracite project.
We need your help.  The Fuleni Anthracite Project is about to be given the green light  to proceed with the next phase of its plans to open a coal mine that would desecrate the iMfolozi Wilderness Area for future generations forever.
Ibutho Coal (Pty) Ltd has put in an application to mine coal 40 metres from the southern boundary fence of the historic iMfolozi Wilderness Area in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi-Park(HiP), the first protected area in Africa.
“The Soul, Sanity & Sanctuary of the iMfolozi Wilderness” which will be destroyed by the nearby Fuleni Mine which stretches along the overlooking skyline, along the SW boundary fence of iMfolozi Game Reserve, which is the “Cradle of White Rhino” where they were brought back from the brink of extinction.
The area was sacred to the Zulu people in the time of Shaka and was the first wilderness area declared in Africa. We must show Ibutho Coal and the SA government that the iMfolozi Wilderness Area is sacrosanct and that there is overwhelming world-wide opposition to proceeding with this mining application.
South Africa has no shortage of mines but a unique wilderness area with such a rich history can NEVER be replaced.
Please support this important call for action and sign the petition today.
