Extra Curricular Activities

We have plenty of fun activities for young people to do outside of term time!

Holiday Camps

Our Rangers Camps are run for children aged 5-10 years old and our Pioneers Camps are run for 9-13year olds, they take place across our whole 40 acre nature site at Chatham Green, including meadows, woodland and tree plantations, all surrounded by a 400 acre arable farm.

Activities are mostly child led and there is no set schedule, so every child is supported to engage in whatever activity they enjoy, from den building to bug hunting, imaginative play and building using natural materials; there is no limit to what they can come up with!

Youth Groups

On our Chatham Green site, we can offer workshops for youth groups such as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. The Essex Way runs through our location and our experienced outdoor leaders can facilitate sessions such as fire lighting, knife skills, shelter building, plant & wildlife identification, and orienteering. We can also offer scavenger hunts and team building games and always practice Leave No Trace ethics.

Year 6 Leavers

At our Chatham Green site we now offer Year 6 Leavers days with non-curriculum outdoor fun! What better way to celebrate their time at school than with memorable activities with their classmates such as fire lighting, shelter building and team games? Finish the day with a reflection on their time at school and a chance for thank yous. This unforgettable send-off will help bring young people closer together before they embark on their next chapter.

We can cater for groups of up to 60 students. Costs are based on group size.
