Our Youth Voice programme inspires 13–21 year olds to take action for the environment and experience the healing power of nature. Join us on our youth voice workshops to explore nature, meet fellow environmentalists, and contribute to the monitoring and management of Wilderness Foundation conservation sites. We want to centre the ideas and experiences of young people. By equipping young people with skills and support, we hope to empower them to make a positive difference in their community.
Join us to learn practical conservation skills and take the lead on environmental challenges!
What is youth voice?
Regular workshops will give young people the opportunity to network, work on the issues they care about and coordinate their very own projects.
We are looking for young people who want to develop new skills and care about both people and the planet. No prior experience is necessary, and we want young people from all backgrounds to feel welcome, listened to and valued.
We encourage participants from groups currently underrepresented in the environmental movement, including young people from ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ young people and young people with disabilities.
What are our aims?
- Inspire and support young people to take positive action for the natural environment.
- Provide a space for young people to build their confidence and aid their personal and professional development.
- Equip young people with knowledge and skills in nature conservation and advocacy.
- Provide opportunities for young people to develop leadership, communication and project management skills.
- Provide a support network for mental wellbeing and an outlet for discussing and sharing solutions for the rising levels of eco-anxiety in young people.
