A key component of the work of the Wilderness Foundation is mentoring young people who join our programmes, including Imbewu Scotland, TurnAround and Out There.
We have places available on our forthcoming Mentor Training programme which will run over six weeks one evening per week starting on Tuesday 25th February 2014.   The course provides potential mentors with the skills they need to support the personal development of our beneficiaries and is funded by the Wilderness Foundation, in return for the time volunteers give to visit our students.
If you feel that you would be able to commit some time to training and then mentoring a 13-15 year old child in school during the day (term times) for up to 2 hours per child a week, please contact us for further information.   Once volunteers complete their mentoring practice hours, they receive accreditation as a trained and qualified mentor.
Please call Louise or Richard on 01245 443073 to request further information and an application form.
Thank you.
