Persimmon cheque presentation1The Wilderness Foundation celebrated a £1,500 donation from Persimmon Homes – one of the UK’s leading house builders.  The generous contribution includes a £1,000 charitable donation and £500 sponsorship of The Wilderness Foundation’s Festive Fayre, which takes place on Saturday 6th December in Chatham Green, just outside Chelmsford.
The cheque presentation took place at Persimmon Homes’ Saxon Gate development of 135 new build homes in Broomfield – only a few miles from The Wilderness Foundation’s Chatham Green base.  The cheque was presented by Debra Croghan and Daniel Rapson from Persimmon Homes to Debbie de Boltz, Development Manager, at The Wilderness Foundation.
The Festive Fayre will be a fun day out for all the family and features a magical reindeer trail to visit Father Christmas, tree planting, friendly farm animals and Christmas craft activities.
Debbie de Boltz says: “I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks and gratitude to Persimmon Homes for their incredibly generous donation.  The support of the regional business community is vital to the continued success of our charity and our work with vulnerable young people in Essex could not happen without it.”
Philip Standen from Persimmon Homes, says:”We were really keen to support a local charity that has a family-focus to mirror ours.  The team here were impressed by the worthwhile work of The Wilderness Foundation and how they support the local community through their conservation initiatives, youth programmes and fundraising events.”
