The Wilderness Foundation is pleased to announce the date for it’s annual Wheels for Wilderness Sponsored Cycle Ride.
Come to Chatham Green on Sunday 6th September and take part in Wheels for Wilderness – our annual fundraising cycle ride. It will be a fun family day of cycling through the Essex countryside!
As a charity we believe in the transformational power of connecting people and nature. Each year we touch over 3,000 young lives helping them to become closer to the natural world. We achieve this through our Food and Farming education programme – the Chatham Green Project, but also through social interventions that transform the lives of some of the hardest-to-reach disadvantaged people in society. In order to be able to undertake this crucial work, we need your help. Year on year we see and increasing number of people coming to us for help and we want to be in the position to help as many as we can. We need vital funds to do that.
Please join us this September for our sponsored cycle ride. We have two routes available – a short circuit of 8 miles for families and for the more hardened cyclist (and those looking to be challenged!) – a 45 mile ride out through the villages of Essex. Both routes are circular, starting and finishing at our UK Head Office in Chatham Green.
Your registration fee and the sponsorship you raise will allow disadvantaged children and young people in the Essex area to be supported through their experience of the outdoors/nature in an inspirational way; building their confidence and resilience for a healthier happier future.
Registration fees for 2015:
- Family Cycle 8 miles – £10 per family plus sponsorship
- Individual 45 mile ride – £25 per person plus sponsorship
