Friend of the Foundation Ronit Shapiro will be travelling to South Africa in October 2012 and has asked us to raise awareness of the possibility of joining her party for a wilderness journey in the Umfolozi – the oldest wilderness reserve in South Africa.

Southern Africa Trails Experience
South Africa is one of the world’s top destinations for travellers. The Wilderness Foundation UK, in partnership with the Wilderness Leadership School in South Africa, has been organising wilderness trails for over thirty years – providing adventure and personal challenges to a variety of people within some of the most spectacular wilderness locations in Southern Africa.
Wilderness trails are journeys of discovery – walking on foot and sleeping under the stars, you will becom immersed in the wild, following in the footsteps of lion, rhino, elephant and more. Under the supervision of highly experienced guides, our expeditions take people close to the beauty and spectacle of wildlife and nature, while providing insight and access to areas and expertise unavailable in conventional tourism.
Prices start from just £180 per person per day (excluding flights). Trail duration is between five and fifteen days.
The maximum size of any trail group us eight participants with a minimum of six.

Included: In-country travel, food, accommodation, guides, group camping and cooking equipment, park entrance fees and 24/7 emergency support line.
