Today 4 members of staff from Epping Forest Woodland Burial Park visited The Chatham Green Project to help plant our Diamond Jubilee wood.
They did a tremendous job planting a diverse mix of native broadleaf trees before having to rush back and continue work on their own woodland.
Epping Forest Woodland Burial Park is a very different woodland to the one we are creating as it contains sweet chestnut and conifers. However, they use traditional management to create a beautiful natural space.
Their help is made all the more special as their woodland is also on The Essex Way public right of way which stretches from Epping to Harwich!
