CoalitionWILD has launched the Wilder World Challenge to get more people involved in making the world a wilder place in the months leading up to the 10th World Wilderness Congress (WILD10) in Salamanca, Spain. The Wilder World Challenge will use social media platforms to encourage people under 30 to demonstrate how they are creating a wilder world. Those who share their photos, video projects or written ideas on CoalitionWILD’s Facebook Challenge page will be entered into the global social media challenge.
Projects can range from local to global in scope and can include anything that makes the world a wilder place – however big or small. Each idea will help show the world how young people can celebrate and protect nature through a new generational movement, promoting and supporting successful projects and innovative ideas. Projects will be evaluated based on likelihood of success, potential impact, creativity and innovation, and must be submitted to CoalitionWILD’s Facebook Wilder World Challenge page by midnight on July 1, 2013.
CoalitionWILD’s Movement Visionaries (included below) will select the top projects or ideas and announce the winners on July 15, 2013. Some of those winners will be invited to present their project to the world at WILD10 in Salamanca, Spain on 4-10 October. Other great projects will gain mentorship from international movement leaders or a grant to provide financial support to further their idea.
Please join our social media platforms to keep up with CoalitionWILD and the Wilder World Challenge or follow the movement at www.coalitionwild.org.
