The Wilderness Foundation is going through a sustained period of growth.   As a forward looking charity with a focus on changing the lives of people both locally and nationally, much of our time is spent on delivery of groundbreaking and innovative programmes that bring those disadvantaged by opportunity and wealth closer to nature than they have ever been before.   It is in nature and particularly wilderness that we are able to achieve the transformations that help people to turn their lives around.     We also encourage our brightest young people to engage with the natural world and to use their time there as an educational opportunity to learn about balancing the needs of people and nature, sustainability, the importance of a rich and healthy biodiversity and develop their leadership capabilities.
In order to enable us to focus even more of our energy on delivery of these programmes, we are seeking to recruit two part-time administration volunteers to join our small team at Chatham Green in Essex.     If you have good written and verbal communication skills, are familiar with the use of Windows based computers and are confident in using MS Office, we would love to hear from you.    Days and hours by negotiation, but we do need a regular weekly commitment to maintain a level of continuity and service to our beneficiaries.  In return for your time, we can provide a wealth of opportunity to improve your skills and experience in all aspects of the day-to-day administration and management of a busy charity, ranging from research and data analysis through to financial administration and charity governance.   Out of pocket expenses will be paid.
Why not read some of our volunteer stories to learn more about the benefits of volunteering with the Wilderness Foundation UK?
If you feel that this is the right opportunity for you then please complete our online application form.    Alternatively, if you would like to discuss the opportunities further, please call our Operations Manager Richard Corby on 0300 1233073 (Monday to Wednesday.)
We follow a safer recruitment process and applicants would be required to undergo safeguarding checks before taking up their duties.
Thank you for your interest in the Foundation.    We look forward to hearing from you.
