Come and visit us at our Chatham Green Project and enjoy a day immersed in the beautiful Essex countryside.
Open Farm Sunday on the 8th June is a fantastic project which has seen hundreds of farmers across the UK opening up their farm for one Sunday each year since 2006!
This year we are opening for the first time to showcase sustainable arable farming and nature conservation.
Take part in a relaxed guided walk with our farm manager and ecologist to discover how we grow food crops and look after wildlife at the same time.
Help us to count the wonderful pollinators on our site, recording species to inform our conservation and education work.
It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to discover at first hand what it means to be a farmer.
Take time to listen to the birds, soak up the scenery, get in touch with the land that feeds us. So come and feed your senses on at our Open Farm Sunday on the 8th June.
At Hyde Hall Farm in Chatham Green we are offering the opportunity to tour our farm and ‘living classroom’ conservation area including our solar tracker array, Diamond Jubilee Woodland plantation, mature hedgerows, wildflower restoration meadows, and arable fields. Friendly staff will be hand on discuss the project and provide information on food production and environmental stewardships. Visit with all the family to discover farming and nature.
We are open from 11 am – 3 pm.
We look forward to seeing you for this free event.
