The Wilderness Foundation has been a long time advocate of minimum impact travel and sustainable use of our natural sources.   This naturally led us to work in partnership with the Leave No Trace institute and now all of our trail and programme participants undertake a Leave No Trace certificated course, helping them to understand the seven principles of Leave No Trace and how they can make a difference each and every time they visit and enjoy the countryside.
Wilderness Foundation advisor Myles Farnbank, an accredited Leave No Trace Trainer (qualified with the American Leave No Trace Institute) is coming back to Essex to deliver our popular “Train the Trainer” course, which equips successful participants with all the skills and materials they need to deliver the Awareness course.   We have pre-sold the majority of our places on the course, which is delivered over two days at the Foundation’s HQ site in Chatham Green, Essex.    We now have just two spaces remaining and for anyone who has already completed LNT Awareness, this is the ideal opportunity for you to upskill and prepare to deliver Awareness training for others.
The two day programme takes place on 14th and 15th June and participants are required to camp overnight.   The course fee is £100 for the weekend and includes registration with the Leave No Trace Institute int the USA.    The course is delivered part inside, with the majority outside on our 400 acre site.   Participants also need to provide their own food and this forms part of the training.
If you are interested in securing one of the last places then please call Richard on 0300 1233073 as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
