Learning Outside the Classroom Conference

The Wilderness Foundation UK are working in partnership with organisations and individuals from across Essex who offer programmes of environmental education and Education for Sustainable Development for the benefit of schools, other groups of young people and the wider public known as the Essex Learning for Sustainability (ELfS) group. We are delighted to be delivering an outdoor learning workshop at the upcoming Essex Learning Outside the Classroom Conference on 2^nd October 2014 at RHS Garden, Hyde Hall.
At the event teachers and other education professionals will be introduced to the unique contribution of outdoor learning experiences in the development of young people and discover the support and learning opportunities provided by the many outdoor education providers on their doorstep. Our contribution to the day will showcase some of the work of our Chatham Green Project, delivering education from Key Stage 1-4 on farming, nature and sustainability in the beautiful Essex countryside.
