On the 27th February, the whole of Tiptree Heath Primary School visited the Chatham Green Project site as part of the Diamond Jubilee Woods project!
Arriving on two double-decker buses and a coach, 170 students and around 30 teachers, parents and support staff made there way over to our plantation and enjoyed a morning of tree planting, nature and heritage activities.
Activities included:
- Making (and throwing!) seed bombs
- Building a wattle and daub wall
- Creating a rainbow nature wheel
The school spent valuable time immersed in nature where they displayed their core values of: Respect, honesty, happiness, celebration, courage, caring and thoughtfulness, responsibility and teamwork.
The team at the Wilderness Foundation hope very much that the school returns in the near future to see how their trees and flowers are getting on!
