As at 17:30 GMT – Friday 28th November, Dr Player continues to be in a serious but comfortable condition on his farm in South Africa and we will issue an update as soon as there is any change in Dr. Player’s condition.
Dr Ian Player, legendary nature conservationist credited with saving the White Rhino from extinction and Founder of the Wilderness Foundation UK and Africa, WILD Foundation and Wilderness Leadership School, suffered a serious stroke with complications on Thursday morning, 20th November 2014. He is comfortably at home in the Karkloof, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where he is supported by his wife, Ann, and immediate family members.
The family are most grateful for the well wishes they have received but request privacy during this period.
An update will be issued as soon as there is any change in Dr Player’s condition.
Our warmest wishes are sent to South Africa at this difficult time for both Ian and his family.
