“Last night we did our first MARISCO Open Standards threat analysis workshop. Well done and thanks to all who attended!
We had a couple of latecomers today which I have added in. I will arrange another workshop in the near future to go over the strategies to deal with the threats and contributing factors we identified last night.
So far the conservation targets identified by the group to be the most at threat are:
Crops (as habitats): Wildflowers; Walking & the Essex Way; Small Mammals; Hamlet Character; Hedgerows; Peace & Quiet.
So far the most severe threats identified by the group are:
Nitrates/Pesticides; Light Pollution; Unsuitable Development; Increased Traffic; Local Community; Pollution; Litter.
