We were delighted to receive this feedback from Simon Power of the MacRoberts Trust following the Imbewu Scotland course that recently ran there. Our students, drawn from across Aberdeenshire, spent a day volunteering on the estate, renewing a hillside path. Simon says:
I am extremely grateful to you, your team and all the young people who worked on the footpath repair project on the Trust’s estate. We thought we had provided them with a big task that they would be unlikely to finish. However, they exceeded our expectations and have done a fantastic job that has already been commented on very favourably by users of the path.
If possible I would be appreciate it if our thanks can be passed on to all involved for all their efforts – it was not an easy task!
I hope that we can organise further tasks in the future.
We are delighted to be working with the MacRobert Trust Estate and indeed all our valued estate partners. Imbewu Scotland is a vital programme to help young people reconnect with their rural heritage, gain skills and confidence and inspire them to a career in the rural sector.
Our thanks to all involved.
