Our colleagues at the Cairngorms National Park are offering their popular “Winter Tree Identification Course” again this March
Following our very popular course last November, we are pleased to offer another chance to brush up your skills in Winter Tree Identification. This FREE course will take place on Thursday 30th March 2017 at Glen Tanar Estate near Aboyne, 10am to approx. 4pm.
This one day, field-based course will be run by Rothiemurchus forester Piers Voysey and Ancient Woodland advisers Alan Crawford and Alasdair Firth, and is kindly being hosted by Glen Tanar Estate. Suitable for beginners and those with some knowledge, we will look at a large number of native and non-native species in a variety of habitats all within walking distance of the Visitor Centre. There will also be an option to visit the Estate’s pinetum if time allows. An indoor space will be available for lunch, with the option of some indoor work depending on weather on the day.
Book early as places are limited – contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Priority will be given to those working in the Cairngorms National Park, and places will initially be limited to two per organisation.
