We are sad to report the passing of our Patron, the 8th Duke of Wellington.  He died peacefully at home today, surrounded by his family.
A private funeral for family and the estate will be held at Stratfield Saye Church on Thursday January 8 2015.
The date of a memorial service to be held in London will be announced shortly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the Duke of Wellington at this difficult time.   We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of our late Patron-in-Chief to the Wilderness Foundation, for which we are eternally grateful.
