Me again! Blogging at our mid way point of the Wild Swans programme. This seminar was around resilience and once again, we were able to make the most of the British weather and sit outside to discuss what resilience means to us.
The seminar started with a solo walk and reflection on how the nature and things around us had changed since last time. I noticed that the first signs of autumn were beginning to emerge, with the trees turning a darker colour and a few leaves scattered on the grass. I love doing a solo walk and reflection as it really relaxes me from the working week.
It was great to meet up again as our group and have some meaningful discussions. For me it really hit home that this course is not just about leadership, but about getting to know others and sharing experiences to grow together.
One of my highlights from the seminar was probably the minefield challenge, where we had to work with our partner to get from one side of the ‘minefield’ to the other. Only problem was, the only thing that could touch the floor were 3 blue crates. This proved a challenge but really made us all realise the importance of communication, trying things and learning from our mistakes. (If you’re lucky there may even be a sneaky picture for you to laugh at!) It was good fun.
I can’t quite believe we have already reached our mid point. The seminars to date have been really interactive and I’ve already learnt so much about myself and others. I’m looking forward to what the rest will bring! 🙂
